Laboratory Microwave Sources

The section below reports on the design of a low-cost programmable microwave sources with adjustable phase and power output. The circuits can provide microwave signals within the frequency range of 100 MHz to 6 GHz. The output power is adjustable from -35 dBm to +10 dBm. Two 50 Ω SMA outputs provide signals with a programmable phase shift from 0° to 360°. Additionally, the 180° shifted signals are available from two seperate SMA outputs. This makes the device perfectly suitable for various pulse sensing applications.
